Dear Ann, I've been struggling with how to write this, but I hope these memories make others smile and remember you with the fondness I have. My earliest memory of you was when Helen and I had been dating for a while and you saw me as somebody who was 'computer literate', so you had me teach you to use word processors and spreadsheets. So I sat with my future Mother-in-Law, showing you how to use a computer, while you decided whether I was future Son-in-Law material. I'm glad I didn't mess up and it worked out. I also remember years later driving into snowy Keats Close, as you came up the hill completely sideways driving Colin's Jaguar, to all intents and purposes a passenger in a wayward Jag with no traction. Overall though, I knew you as my wife's most powerful influence, as she inherited your deeply caring nature, inner strength and character. I will miss my drinking partner.
